Earlier in September, our Operations Manager, Mr. Laurent Leite, proudly represented Hunt, Deltel & Co. Ltd at Seatrade Europe 2025 , held in Hamburg, Germany, from the 10th to the 12th of September.
Seatrade Europe is the leading trade fair and conference for the cruise and river cruise industries in Europe.
The event brought together cruise lines, ports, destinations, suppliers, regulators, and tourism stakeholders from around the world to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and strengthen business relationships.
As the local representative for several cruise lines and operators in Seychelles, our participation provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with our existing Principals. Discussions focused on the upcoming 2025/2026 cruise season , ongoing policy reviews and cruise studies, and the overall outlook for Seychelles' cruise tourism.
The event also served as an excellent platform to reaffirm our commitment to delivering the highest level of service to our partners.
The conference sessions, led by industry experts, offered meaningful insights into emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the global cruise sector.
Also in attendance was a delegation from the Seychelles Ports Authority (SPA) , including Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sonny Payet , Business Development Director Mr. Lynze Marimba , and Port Control Superintendent Mr. Dario Samedi . Their participation allowed for productive discussions with cruise Principals, particularly on operational challenges and how Port Victoria can continue to enhance its facilities and services to better support cruise operations.
A highlight of the event was the Cruise Night , held on the second day — an enjoyable evening that combined formal and informal networking. It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and build new relationships in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
