Supporting a Cleaner Ocean: Hunt Deltel at the Seychelles Commonwealth King’s Baton Clean-Up

On the 21st of October, Hunt, Deltel & Co. Ltd. proudly supported the Seychelles Commonwealth King's Baton Clean-Up, a collaborative initiative led by The Ocean Project Seychelles alongside the Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association, Marine Conservation Society Seychelles, the Seychelles Defence Forces, public organisations and members of the community.

Held at Beau Vallon, Mahé, this special event formed part of the Commonwealth's "Clean Oceans Plastics" campaign — mobilising communities to help prevent one million pieces of plastic from entering our oceans and waterways.

Seychelles Commonwealth King’s BatonAs part of our commitment to safeguarding Seychelles' marine environment, Hunt Deltel donated a large tent that played a vital role throughout the day. The tent provided a shaded and welcoming space for:

  • Opening remarks and event coordination
  • Distribution of waste collection materials including clipboards, gunny bags and gloves
  • Refreshment breaks for volunteers
  • Space for valuable networking between partners and participants

In addition to facilitating event logistics, the tent also drew the attention of beachgoers, inspiring several members of the public to join the clean-up on the spot — further strengthening the collaborative spirit behind the initiative.

We are honoured to have contributed to an effort that not only removed pollution from our coastline but also raised essential awareness around sustainable waste management in Seychelles. Together, we can continue to protect our marine ecosystems and preserve the natural beauty of our islands for generations to come.
