Anse Royale Primary School – A Model School
During a ceremony held at the Anse Royale Primary School on Friday 23rd November, the Eco-Schools Seychelles commemorated the much-anticipated arrival of a consignment of recycling bins. These bins are to be used by participating schools in their ongoing efforts to make waste management an integral part of our youth’s education. The ceremony was attended by students, parents, sponsors and members of the Ministry of Environment, who also had the chance to have a guided tour of the school and view an art exhibition of recycled PET bottles put together by the school’s art teachers.
The tour of the school made the value of the Eco-Schools program all the more evident as the concept of recycling as a sustainable living practice has clearly been placed as a priority in all aspects of the environmental management of this particular school.
