Hunt Deltel was proud to support Mahé Martial Arts as its athletes represented Seychelles at the Open Africa Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship, held in Côte d'Or, Mauritius, from 8–9 August 2026.
The competition proved to be an outstanding success for the academy, with its 12 athletes returning home with an impressive 32 medals, contributing 32 of the 36 medals won by Team Seychelles. Every Mahé Martial Arts athlete secured at least one medal.
Among the standout performances was 17-year-old Marla Sinon, who won two gold medals at her very first international competition -an exceptional achievement for the young athlete.
Hunt Deltel's contribution helped cover the travel and participation costs of one athlete, including airfare, accommodation and registration, helping make their participation in the international competition possible.
Beyond the medals, the experience gave the athletes - several of whom were competing internationally for the first time - valuable exposure, greater confidence and the opportunity to test their skills against competitors from other countries.
