Express logistics assists the Seychelles Red Cross

To alleviate logistical problems, the Seychelles Red Cross contacted the Express Logistics subsidiary of Hunt Deltel for assistance with their bill of lading as the deadline for sending big consignments of food and clothing from Seychelles to Madagascar approaches. The cargo was en route to afflicted areas in Behara, Amboasary District, and Anosy Region that required immediate assistance due to the ongoing drought season.

The Malagasy Red Cross reports insufficient rainfall, rising food costs, and sandstorms have caused severe acute food insecurity for nearly 1.1 million people.

Seychelles Red Cross gathered two hundred and fifty thousand Rupees in cash to assist individuals affected by food insecurity in Madagascar's south. Donations obtained in response to a public appeal broadcast via social media and television made this possible. People from many walks of life, businesses and organisations like Hunt Deltel chipped in to help.
