Mrs Jourdane Ernesta, Chairman of the National Association for the Disabled, received 60 wheelchair donations on Friday, March 3, 2023. These wheelchairs will be provided to children on the islands of Mahe and Praslin, as well as the School for Exceptional Children.
The school needs 14 wheelchairs so that these students can fully participate in all school-related events. The Ministry of Health will receive five wheelchairs to help disabled youngsters get around in and out of hospitals.
Wheelchairs for Kids in Perth, Australia, spearheaded the donation, and other Australian businesses or NGOs managed the wheelchairs' entire journey from the manufacturer to Seychelles. Once in Seychelles, Mason's Travel and Hunt Deltel helped the Seychelles Rotary Club because the Rotary Club initially came out to them for assistance.
